Using brown coal for electricity generation and as a fuel source will
continue to be important in meeting future energy needs. Addressing
the associated greenhouse issues is part of the responsibility.
Typically conventional electricity generation has only limited efficiency - up
to 65% of the energy potential is released as waste heat - at Energy
Brix Australia we put this waste heat to use by utilising the process
steam to dry brown coal (moisture up to 65%) down to 10% before
condensing the steam back to the boilers - this is called co-generation.

|
Energy Brix Australia use co-generation to increase significantly the efficiency of a fossil fuel, thus reducing associated costs and emitted pollutants.
Co-generation ensures that our manufacturing process has the lowest possible impact on the environment - a much cleaner production system with considerably reduced greenhouse gas emissions and reinforces our committment to meet the Commonwealth Government's Greenhouse Challange as part of the Latrobe Valley Taskforce.
